This is a contractor's apartment in Petah Tikva that was purchased by a young couple. The couple turned to the office of architect Marina Rechter Rubinstein - REMA Architects, in order to plan and design their home according to the needs of the young family, with the final product being completely different from the original plans of the contractor. The 170 square meter apartment includes 6 rooms and a 25 square meter balcony.
"The couple asked for a dream apartment. One that would radiate luxury and at the same time feel young and refreshing, with the feeling of a hotel. A fun house, with lots of seating for family and friends. A house that would create a feeling of a large space and at the same time with accurate thinking and proper planning for a lot of storage, and for different scenarios for the family in the near and distant future," says Rechter Rubinstein.
The entrance to the house leads us to the public space between the kitchen and the living room. The couple requested that the foyer include a designated place for storing shoes and everyday clothes, and so it was. To the left of the entrance is a wall covered with wood, which continues to the private wing of the house. Behind the wall hides plenty of storage space and at the end of it is a dedicated niche that is already used for wine. Rechter Rubinstein knew how to leave a designated place for a bench or pouf in case the family wants to move in the future. The living room is spacious and pleasant, it includes a fun and comfortable sofa for the benefit of all family members, with a backrest that moves back and forth, for the benefit of the people sitting on it.
The gray coloring conveys a lot of calmness in the space, with a strong wall on which the TV screen is located in a grooved wood paneling, which blends in harmoniously with the shades of gray. On the wall is a wooden sideboard in a shade similar to the paneling next to it. The developers are wrapped by light curtains with a lower blue stripe (in the professional language Kent) that adds chic to the space from ELLA DECOR.
To the right of the living room, a French-style transparent door with two wings with an elegant white frame, which contributes to the boutique atmosphere of the space, where the playroom is located. It was designed so that the couple would be in eye contact with the little ones while you were in the public space.
In this wing, the aforementioned playroom is located, and on both sides of it are the children's rooms and the bathroom. In the children's bathroom there is also a utility room with a deep cupboard for efficient storage, where the washing machines and the dryer are located. The colors chosen in shades of blue and beige add interest and elegance. The kitchen continues the classic colors of the public space.
The dominant 2.2 m long island is clad in fine veined marble, with a wooden front, a combination that continues the intelligent luxury of the house. 4 bar chairs are located in front of the island, and the couple can add additional chairs on the other side. Also in the kitchen is a niche that serves as a work surface with a sink. On the left, another niche closes and opens in favor of electrical products. An elegant light fixture is placed above the island, adding a wonderful touch, a little humorous and one that does not burden the space.
The refrigerator is located to the left of the island, and around it a huge pantry was designed, which looks like a cube that continues into the vestibule in a 90 degree turn. The entrance to the pantry is through the corridor, which leads to the parents' wing, where the parents' suite and the study are located. When the family meeting point between parents and children is the public space. The bedroom continues the minimalist line, with romantic and delicate tones.
The warmth is evident in the natural parquet in the shape of a fishbone, pink wallpaper with a special texture from ELLA DECOR, a make-up chest in a golden green shade and a specially designed wooden surface, and a soft and delicate pouf. A curtain in a "broken" white shade with a pink bottom edge completes the space and corresponds with it, also from the creator of ELLA DECOR.
The entrance to the suite is through a foyer door, and there is another door at the zero line that leads to the bathroom. This room is spacious in the style of a boutique hotel with marble-like cladding, and brass touches that are reflected in the light fixture, mirror and faucets. The study is used by the couple, and it was designed away from the public space in order to allow professional and relaxed work. A dedicated carpentry was designed for him.
