LG Electronics (LG) unveiled the world's first transparent, wireless OLED TV at CES 2024: the LG SIGNATURE OLED T. Combining a transparent 4K OLED screen with LG’s wireless video and audio transmission technology, the OLED T revolutionizes the viewing experience in unprecedented ways. This innovation opens up a realm of nearly limitless potential, offering users the freedom to meticulously design their living spaces. The unique design complements LG OLED’s leading image quality and performance, powered by LG's new α11 (Alpha) AI processor. The groundbreaking transparent OLED has already won five CES 2024 Innovation Awards, including Best of Innovation.

The LG SIGNATURE OLED T eliminates the need for a dominant black screen that competes with the room's design. The transparent display seamlessly integrates into the home, particularly in the living room, despite its 77-inch size. Almost invisible when turned off, it blends into its surroundings and solves the long-standing problem of what to do with the 'big black screen.' The TV's elegant and transparent screen makes the space feel larger, providing a sense of openness.

The transparent OLED screen removes the typical constraints of conventional TVs. There’s no need to mount it on a wall. Instead, the OLED T can be positioned in the center of a room or leaned against a window without obstructing the view outside. The Zero Connect Box leverages LG’s innovative wireless transmission technology to send 4K images and sound to the OLED T, allowing users to place their TV anywhere, regardless of power outlet locations in the room. With no cables between the Zero Connect Box and the OLED T, users enjoy a clean, cable-free viewing environment.

Moreover, the modular design of the LG OLED T allows it to be installed in various ways, with three options: against the wall, free-standing, or wall-mounted. Customers can further personalize their setup by adding standing or floating shelves beside the screen to best suit their unique tastes and preferences.

LG's transparent OLED enables new forms of entertainment and usage through its dual viewing experiences: transparent and opaque. The OLED T becomes a transparent digital canvas for displaying art, videos, or photos with the Always-On-Display (AOD) feature. Content displayed on the transparent screen appears to float in the air while blending with the surrounding space, creating a compelling and atmospheric visual effect. Another option is the T-Bar feature, which offers useful information along the bottom of the screen, such as news alerts, weather updates, or song titles, while the rest of the screen provides a clear, unobstructed view of the space behind it.

For a perfect OLED picture, users can press a button to raise the contrast screen. This allows them to instantly switch to the enhanced image quality of LG OLED, powered by the new α11 (Alpha) AI processor with 4x larger AI performance, providing a 70% improvement in graphical performance and 30% faster processing compared to its predecessor. The OLED T offers the best of both worlds: a stunning transparent screen and vivid colors at the push of a button.

“LG SIGNATURE OLED T offers entirely new screen experiences combined with the award-winning image quality and performance of our OLED technology,” said Park Hyoung-sei, President of LG Home Entertainment Company. “LG’s transparent OLED gives customers greater freedom to curate their living spaces, completely redefining what is possible and pointing to an exciting future for the TV industry.”
