There is a magical nature site hidden near Moshav Udim called Agmon Poleg
The reedbed and the vegetation around it may not indicate that there was a quarry here in the past for kurkar mining. Like other quarries throughout the country, this one was also abandoned and over time it was filled with waste and groundwater that later created a small water reservoir.
After years of neglect, several years ago they decided to rehabilitate the area until the place was resurrected as Agmon Poleg - an environmental park that covers about 60 dunams near Moshav Udim.
The park underwent a serious ecological restoration and even restored the water fountain. Now families and travelers can take a tour on a walking path that goes around the lake (about a kilometer and a half), stop at the aviary overlooking the waterfowl in the lake and gather in the many surrounding lawns. The park, which was restored with the help of Rami, includes signage and is accessible.
As part of the restoration project, the reeds in the park underwent ecological-environmental restoration and development in a way of sustainability while preserving its character. As part of it, the area was cleaned, the vegetation was cared for and the permanent water basin at its edge was restored and a study track was established that combines the values of nature, culture and heritage.
Since we are in hot days, and the temptation is great, it is important to clarify that bathing in Agmon is prohibited. If you still can't give up a dip, consider the trip to the beaches of Netanya and the surrounding area.
