Ahead of an awards ceremony to be held in London on September 17 for the "World's 50 Best Hotels" list, the best hotel in the "World's Best Hospitality Experience" category for 2024 was revealed this week.

The hotel that won is "Royal Mansion Marrakesh" located between the ancient walls of old Marrakesh and designed by the King of Morocco. According to the listing, this luxury resort will go out of its way to make guests feel like royalty.

Launched in 2010, the hotel consists of a collection of private riads spread across six acres of lush gardens. The hotel has been described as a "benchmark for the luxury hotel industry", thanks to its "exceptional" hospitality and attention to detail.

The resort features a network of hidden tunnels and "secret doors" so guests will feel ultimate privacy. Also, the hotel provides each guest with their own private palace and personal butler. "Royal Mansour Marrakesh represents the art of hospitality," says Emma Slate, head of content at the 50 Best Hotels in the World, who continued to praise the hotel for its resilience after a devastating event, a 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck central Morocco last September.

In order to determine the winner, Academy members who select the list were asked to indicate the property where they received the "single best hospitality experience" during the 18-month voting period, paying particular attention to its atmosphere, provision of "unique experiential elements" and the general warmth of the hospitality and the environment.

"We want all guests to leave our hotels with the happiest and most magical memories of their stay," said the hotel's CEO, Jean-Claude Massent, who also described the place as a "jewel in the crown."
