This Sunday, we celebrate Tu B'Av, and while I typically discourage excessive kitsch and overpriced gifts, this time I feel we should celebrate love while we can. Here are some recommendations for wine-filled love events, a sparkling wine, and a festival. Enjoy, drink, and most importantly: love!

Rosé for Tu B'Av: Psagot Extra Brut 2016Psagot Winery's new sparkling wine, released just in time for Tu B'Av, blends tradition with innovation. Made from hand-harvested Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes picked at night, it fermented and aged for six months in stainless steel tanks before undergoing a second fermentation in the bottle using the traditional Champagne method. The wine then aged in the bottle for eight years.
This lengthy process resulted in a sparkling wine that is rich, elegant, and complex, combining a burst of fresh green and red fruit with subtle yeast and citrus notes, along with a clean minerality and a gentle fizz. A fantastic sparkling wine to elevate any romantic evening.
