This Sunday, we celebrate Tu B'Av, and while I typically discourage excessive kitsch and overpriced gifts, this time I feel we should celebrate love while we can. Here are some recommendations for wine-filled love events, a sparkling wine, and a festival. Enjoy, drink, and most importantly: love!
Weekend Festival: White Wines at Beit Ish Ha'anavimOn Thursday and Friday, Beit Ish Ha'anavim will host its traditional white wine festival. Usually held in Herzliya, this year, due to logistical reasons, it has been moved to Jaffa. As always, the festival will feature the best local wines, alongside international selections and delicious bites.

At Herbert Samuel, enjoy a special evening featuring a chef's menu of eight courses paired with the wineries' finest wines, starting at 18:30.
At Ha Veda Wine Bar, there will be a horizontal tasting of Rhône Valley wines compared to Bordeaux, along with a delightful sparkling wine. The event includes tasting five wines and a cheese platter for couples, starting at 19:00.

Dr. Daniel Moore, an expert on the Rioja wine region, will take participants on a journey through Spanish classics with his lecture, "Rioja – Then and Now," followed by the screening of the film Rioja, Land of a Thousand Wines.
To end the evening, visit the nearby Brix Wine Bar and receive a complimentary glass of wine. Truly worth it.

Love day at Kishor Winery (credit: Dror Gil)Rosé for Tu B'Av: Psagot Extra Brut 2016Psagot Winery's new sparkling wine, released just in time for Tu B'Av, blends tradition with innovation. Made from hand-harvested Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes picked at night, it fermented and aged for six months in stainless steel tanks before undergoing a second fermentation in the bottle using the traditional Champagne method. The wine then aged in the bottle for eight years.
This lengthy process resulted in a sparkling wine that is rich, elegant, and complex, combining a burst of fresh green and red fruit with subtle yeast and citrus notes, along with a clean minerality and a gentle fizz. A fantastic sparkling wine to elevate any romantic evening.
