Cellcom has launched its new WiFi 7 routers, STAR PRO and STAR MESH PRO, featuring the world's advanced WiFi 7 technology. The company also announced the STAR+, an innovative dual-band WiFi 7 router, marking Israel’s first of its kind.
The STAR PRO is designed for high-demand users, such as gamers and content creators, and supports tri-band frequencies (2.4GHz, 5GHz, 6GHz). It offers speeds up to four times faster than current models and can connect up to 300 devices simultaneously. The router fully supports Multi-Gig speeds, enabling browsing with XGS-PON technology at up to 10 gigabits per second.
The STAR+ will be launched in the coming months, featuring dual-band WiFi 7 technology, an advanced processor, support for speeds up to 2.5 gigabits per second, and the ability to connect up to 256 devices simultaneously. Both new routers support MLO technology, which allows for simultaneous data transfer across multiple channels for faster and more stable browsing. They also offer high bandwidth for smooth streaming on smart TVs, separate network management for guests and smart devices, exceptionally low latency, and support for the advanced Easy Mesh standard.
The new MESH routers were designed by Manyone, a leading design firm specializing in end-user equipment in Israel, known for creating products for major companies like IKEA, Keter, Shufersal, Jabra, and more. The chosen design line is modern, minimalist, and clean, featuring fabric as a central material to give the router a warmer and more natural look within the home. The aim was to create an innovative and advanced router that seamlessly integrates into central spaces in a harmonious way. The routers' lights are off except in cases of malfunction, providing a clean appearance while still allowing easy reading of indicators, except for Cellcom’s star, which is always illuminated. Additionally, all new products are made from 100% recycled plastic and are environmentally friendly.
