The Suflames Arrive
Straight from London, the Suflames—crème brûlée donuts whose recipe has gone viral worldwide—are landing in Israel. These XL donuts are filled with rich vanilla pastry cream, and their tops are coated with sugar caramelized using a special electric spoon, creating a crispy caramel layer just like in a classic crème brûlée.
Behind the Suflames stands Nadav Bornstein, who tasted them in London. He approached master baker Uri Scheft from Lehamim Bakery, who worked for weeks to achieve the perfect combination of textures.
The menu includes four flavors: Crème Brûlée—classic pastry cream with a vanilla bean; Chocolate Nougat—milk chocolate ganache, nougat cream, and pastry cream; Berry—pastry cream combined with mixed berries; and Earl Grey—pastry cream infused with Wissotzky’s Earl Grey tea.
To maintain British authenticity, two red phone booths will be set up at Azrieli Sarona, and a special Wissotzky tea house will offer complimentary Earl Grey cocoa tea with milk—a unique recipe developed especially for the event—served in beautifully designed cups.
The price per unit is NIS 17, with 10% of the proceeds donated to the Wrapped in Love foundation, supporting children who lost a parent on October 7 by providing financial grants and opportunities for personal growth.
The pop-up at Azrieli Sarona will operate for only four days, from November 26 to November 29.
