In the shadow of security tensions in Israel and the departure of some foreign companies, El Al announced this evening (Saturday) that despite the recent events, its flight schedule continues to operate as normal, but warns that the situation is complex and requires special preparation.
"We are witnessing an unprecedented demand for flights to Israel," said the company's spokesperson. "All the flights in the coming weeks are full to capacity, especially until Rosh Hashanah." The company emphasizes that it is actively working to increase the flight schedule as much as possible, with the aim of bringing home all Israelis staying abroad.
As part of the efforts, El Al recommends passengers whose flight to Israel was canceled to arrive in Athens or Larnaca. "We plan to increase the frequency of flights from these destinations," the spokesman explained. "Passengers can register on the waiting list for flights back to Israel through the travel agents."
The company also emphasizes that even now, it offers discounted and fixed prices for flights from Athens and Larnaca. A return ticket to Athens will cost $299, while a flight to Larnaca will cost $199. One-way tickets will be sold for half the amount.
Also, El Al emphasizes that it gives priority to flying reservists with active warrants 8 and for emergencies, especially medical ones. "We understand the importance of returning the reserve forces to Israel at this time," the spokesman said. "At the same time, we are aware of the plight of passengers whose flights on foreign companies have been canceled."
The company urges the public to regularly update its website and social networks, where all changes and updates are published in real time. "We are aware of the passengers' concerns and difficulties," the spokesman concluded. "El Al is committed to doing everything in its power to maintain the air bridge to Israel and provide an answer to all passengers, in Israel and abroad."
