The war's impact on the energy sector has underscored the critical role of energy continuity in both personal and national resilience. Colmobil Energy is now offering solar systems that include energy storage and backup, independent of the electrical grid, providing both economic benefits and energy security.
In the past two months, there has been over a 200% increase in demand for energy storage and backup systems in the private sector. Aviv Peper, CEO of Colmobil Energy, explains: "The technology has matured to a point where households can achieve energy independence and continuity for essential needs (refrigerators, outlets, lighting, air conditioning), even during prolonged blackouts. We have seen a significant rise in inquiries and sales, as many people prefer the peace of mind that comes with being prepared for various extreme scenarios. Additionally, this is a highly viable economic investment that generates passive income for property owners, not to mention that these green systems produce clean electricity without environmental pollution. Today, the systems yield double-digit annual returns with a government-guaranteed rate for 25 years."
Part of the electricity generated by the panels is stored in batteries. In the event of a power outage, the backup system activates (as pre-configured). During daylight hours, the solar system continues to generate electricity to meet household needs and simultaneously charge the batteries. At night, stored energy from the batteries powers essential household devices, ensuring continuous operation.
Colmobil Energy, the energy division of the car import group Colmobil, offers a range of renewable energy solutions and is a leading company in Israel's private solar sector. The company is also expanding its activities in the commercial and entrepreneurial sectors.
