For the first time in the world, the home appliance brand Teka is launching an innovative ceramic cooktop that doubles as a Shabbat plate, offering a groundbreaking solution for Shabbat observers. The cooktop can operate continuously for up to 72 hours, providing an advanced alternative to traditional warming plates.

The new cooktop has received rabbinic approval from "Shamor LeKadsho," a certification committee for halachic-electronic solutions for Shabbat. With this certification, it ensures Shabbat-compliant use, while still offering the latest in cooking technology.

The cooktop features four cooking zones of varying sizes, with a maximum power of 6,300W. In addition to its performance, it includes advanced safety features such as child lock and residual heat indicators, ensuring safe and convenient use.

According to surveys, around 70% of Israelis observe kosher laws to some degree, and approximately 27% of Jewish Israelis fully observe Shabbat. The product may also appeal to those who do not fully observe Shabbat but are looking for a convenient solution to heat food during Shabbat and throughout the week.

This innovative cooktop represents a fusion of tradition and modern technology, potentially changing how Shabbat-observant families manage the challenges of using electrical appliances on Shabbat and holidays.

Available in select stores and retail chains. Price: NIS 1,890.
