For the first time in Israel: Hair transplants using a robot

NUYU clinic will offer faster, more precise, and sterile hair transplants using the ARTAS AI-based robotic system, making it the first of its kind in the Middle East.

Is the field of hair transplants about to undergo a revolutionary change?

In the coming weeks, NUYU Clinic (part of Winkler Clinic, founded by Professor Eyal Winkler) will launch in Israel, providing precise, sterile, and faster hair transplants with the ARTAS AI-based robotic system. The system offers enhanced precision and sterility, significantly reducing both the recovery and procedure times compared to traditional methods.

For the first time in Israel, the process will also involve hair designers and innovative technologies to help map the patient's natural hairline for maximum personalization, which is a distinct improvement over traditional transplants.

The service in Israel will be led by senior dermatologist Dr. Adi Rubin Ben Yoav, who will serve as NUYU's medical director. According to Dr. Ben Yoav, "The new technology allows the medical team to achieve the most precise results possible today. Patients, including those who have undergone traditional transplants, report high satisfaction with the treatment, the recovery time, and, most importantly, the results. Besides the clear advantages of the system, the option we created for each patient to involve their personal hair stylist or close companion in selecting their hairline has been described by patients as a game-changer."

In addition to 'Winkler Clinic,' the venture is co-managed by entrepreneurs Assaf Winkler and Alon Biton. They state, "This is a cutting-edge medical technology system that will revolutionize the field of hair transplants. NUYU Clinic will offer a holistic approach with unique developments in hair care for every stage of the patient’s journey, including preventive treatments, daily care products, hair transplants, and post-transplant support, all with the highest level of medical service and responsibility from Winkler Clinic."

They also emphasize, "The advanced ARTAS robotic technology dramatically enhances the patient experience and satisfaction, as well as the capabilities of doctors. The device incorporates artificial intelligence, a multi-camera high-resolution stereoscopic vision system, and the most advanced medical hardware in the world."

Israel's hair transplant industry is valued at over a billion shekels annually, with more than 20,000 Israelis undergoing hair transplants each year, mostly at dedicated institutions in Turkey. However, with the current strained relations between Israel and Turkey, tens of thousands of Israelis are now seeking alternatives without leaving the country. Combined with accelerated technological advancements in healthcare, thanks to AI, NUYU is expected to quickly become a key player in this field.
