Garmin importer Ronlight launched the new Fenix 8 watch series at Tel Aviv Port. This series represents Garmin's flagship line of smart sports watches. As with previous models, the Fenix 8 features water resistance up to 100 meters, with sealed buttons. It includes advanced heart rate sensors, measures such as heart rate variability, various case sizes, and different bands. The Fenix 8 comes with dual displays—an AMOLED touchscreen and an MIP display in the solar version, which also charges the battery using sunlight. Battery life has been improved to 29 days and 48 days for the solar version.

Additional updates in the new flagship model include enhanced navigation for distance verification even if you get lost, topographic map features, support for diver data, and now also built-in speaker and microphone, allowing connection to voice assistants and making calls directly from the watch via Bluetooth to a smartphone. There is also a powerful LED flashlight for nighttime workouts and a navigation system that includes a three-axis compass, gyroscope, and altimeter.

The price is steep: the basic models start at NIS 4,600 and can reach up to NIS 6,000 for the special versions.
