What is the meaning of a fireplace?

"A fireplace is not just a source of heat, but also an element that adds a warm atmosphere, luxury, and a unique look to the home," explains interior designer Mor Vered. According to her, now, with temperatures dropping, is the perfect time to prepare for the peak of winter. "Buying a fireplace is a long-term investment that is worthwhile both in terms of heating costs and in terms of the atmosphere in the home," she emphasizes.

According to her, a modern fireplace not only spreads pleasant heat but also serves as an impressive design element. "In an era of high heating costs, a fireplace is an ideal solution that combines aesthetics with efficiency. Moreover, the wide variety of options on the market today allows everyone to find the perfect fireplace for their needs, including models that do not require complicated installation."

Vered highlights the advantages of gas fireplaces: "These fireplaces provide an authentic experience with maximum comfort, precise temperature control, and minimal maintenance. In addition to the warmth they generate, they create a luxurious atmosphere that enhances any space."

Along with beauty and warmth, a fireplace also has economic advantages. "Studies show that a quality fireplace can reduce heating costs by 20% to 40%, while increasing property value by 5% to 12%. It is a solution that saves money and adds luxury to the home," notes Vered.

When planning spaces, Vered often incorporates fireplaces from Ortal Fireplaces. "These gas fireplaces not only integrate perfectly into the design but also become a 'power wall' – a family focal point that invites gathering around it. They are custom-designed to match the home's character, atmosphere, and the family's needs," she adds.

According to her, although fireplaces originated in cold countries, they fit perfectly in the Mediterranean climate and in a warm country like Israel. "There is something about a fireplace that warms the heart even when it is off – it evokes feelings of romance, family, and togetherness, especially during the cold days of the year," Vered concludes.
