Just before it hits the shelves, the iPhone 16 came to us for a preliminary review: We received the new iPhone Pro Max from the iStore chain for testing. It is bigger, faster, but above all - very expensive. So is it really worth upgrading?

The new device will mainly offer support for the artificial intelligence that will steal many resources from the system. The intelligence will make it possible to understand you better, the voice assistant will integrate into the AI system, operate applications and communicate between them, which required an upgrade of the processor. Indeed at first glance, still without the artificial intelligence and app loading, the iPhone runs smoother and faster with the new iOS18 operating system.

Externally, two changes are especially noticeable in the new model: The screen is huge, and it has grown from 6.7 inches to 6.9 inches with the reduction of the margins. On paper it doesn't seem like much, but the screen is simply large, and also allows you to enjoy high quality videos on a wide screen, which is close to the size of the iPad mini. As you know, Apple switched to USB-C connections in accordance with EU requirements, and the new iPhone will also be connected this way. You will have to get rid of the old cables, or connect a USB-C adapter to them. For the first time in the case - Apple gives up the sticker that was always attached to the case, and we don't really understand what she did there either.

Another intriguing innovation is the side button that Apple added to the camera. This button allows you to take pictures while holding the camera. It is also a sensor button that allows you to change the zoom, among other things. And for those of us who are left-handed, like me, you can of course turn the camera one hundred and eighty degrees, and just shoot with your left hand.

In summary: The iPhone 16 offers many improvements from the previous devices. It is faster, bigger, the battery time has been extended, the charging is slightly faster. But it is still a very expensive product, and those who own an iPhone 15, which is expected to support artificial intelligence, can probably wait for the next model.
