This summer brought many major events, like the Euro and the Olympics, making it a good time to look at how AI technology is set to change our viewing habits and quality.

We reviewed the new line of QNED TVs, which come in a wide range of sizes—55 inches, 65 inches, 75 inches, and 86 inches. From our experience, they upgrade the viewing experience with new technologies, especially the AI processor that works wonders in enhancing content that isn’t originally in 4K quality—a common issue with large TVs that sometimes display blurry HD broadcasts.

The model we reviewed is the QNED 86T. The system comes with an Alpha 8 AI processor, improving picture and sound quality and displaying up to 4K ULTRA HD resolution, with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. As mentioned, the new TVs incorporate upgraded AI image enhancement tools, using precise pixel-level image analysis. The processor efficiently sharpens images, objects, and backgrounds that might appear blurry, all through an automated AI-based process, for a clearer and higher-quality viewing experience. Additionally, Dynamic Tone Mapping adjusts brightness and contrast in each image section by analyzing changes in brightness where light penetrates the scene. The TVs illustrate realistic contrast thanks to Precision Dimming technology, improving color transitions and precise backlight control. They also feature local dimming technology for vibrant contrast and exceptional brightness.

Besides AI capabilities, the picture quality is enhanced with features that improve sound quality, allowing fuller sounds without external speakers. The AI Sound Pro tool uses AI technology to effectively separate vocal and music tracks from the soundtrack. The TVs also incorporate a unique gaming interface, enabling gamers to easily switch between preset display settings for different game genres. The picture is especially smooth, with no lags or frame cuts, and it should be noted that the screen's wireless internet connection is very stable and fast.

The home entertainment experience is upgraded with a variety of personalization options. Using the latest version of webOS allows users to set up to 10 different profiles to customize the experience for each viewer. LG's smart TVs can even recognize users' voices based on profiles and offer personalized setting and content recommendations by analyzing usage history patterns. Users can customize the webOS home screen and build their personal settings with minimal effort. To make the user experience smoother, the user-friendly home screen interface provides a preview of the last watched content on the screen, allows instant access to information about recently used apps, and enables effortless and quick video playback.

The recommended consumer price for the 65-inch screen is NIS 5,990.
