Lufthansa's unusual message on the line to Tel Aviv

Escalation? Lufthansa's message: flights to Lebanon not before August 5, night flights to Tel Aviv canceled due to "operational circumstances".

After stopping its flights to Beirut, the capital of Lebanon yesterday, due to the instability following the disaster at Majdal Shams, the Lufthansa Group announced that flights to Lebanon will not be resumed in the coming week. According to the group's announcement, flights will not resume before August 5.

At the same time, Lufthansa announced that the night flights from Frankfurt and Munich to Tel Aviv that were supposed to take place tonight (July 29) and tomorrow (July 30) are canceled due to "operational circumstances".

The Lufthansa Group stated: "Due to the recent developments in the Middle East, the airlines Lufthansa, Swiss and Eurowings from the Lufthansa Group have decided to suspend their flights from/to Beirut until August 5 (inclusive). The flights from/to Tel Aviv will continue as scheduled."
