Schweppes, a brand of Jafora, is sponsoring the "Sunbathers" pop-up installation by artist Niv Tishbi at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. The installation will be open to the public from July 23, 2024, to November 2, 2024.
The "Sunbathers" pop-up installation will be displayed in the Neta Garden, located on an exterior terrace between the two buildings of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. This summer's installation by Niv Tishbi is the first site-specific artwork created especially for the Neta Garden, designed to suit both the architecture of the location and the season's needs.
In the expansive area, sunbeds, chairs, tables, and umbrellas, reminiscent of the beach, are arranged. Human figures in various stages of relaxation and sunbathing are blended into the fabric of the sunbeds and chairs. Tishbi, whose work focuses on sculpture and site-specific installations that create a comprehensive experience offering an alternative perspective, humorously disrupts the sunbathers' figures, providing a new and thought-provoking view on our yearning for freedom and its illusion.
According to Yaniv Franko, Marketing Manager at Jafora, "For the premium brand Schweppes, this represents a long tradition of connections and collaborations with the field of culture and art. This time, Schweppes connects with a particularly summery exhibition at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. The exhibition, simulating a beach with umbrellas and sunbathing people, aligns with our new Schweppes cocktails. This is a perfect brand connection for Schweppes and our accompanying slogan, 'drink different.'"
