Instagram is launching tonight the option to leave comments on a story. This means that Instagram allows for the first time people to comment on other people's stories, when the comment is visible and public to the eyes of other followers.

How will it work?

Only the user's followers will be able to see the comments they left on their story and only the followers the user follows back will be able to leave comments on the user's story. The comments can be deleted, and in addition, you can activate or deactivate the option to comment for each story. The new tool will gradually be available worldwide, including in Israel.

As you may remember, a few weeks ago Meta added another innovation to Instagram users: adding text to photos directly from the post editor, without the need to edit the photos in a separate application. A little text can help a post stand out from the rest of the images in the feed or help people see information they might not see in the caption of the post itself. From the post editor you can now also add an additional image layer on top of the image as a sticker.

And this is how it is done: after clicking on the "plus" sign and selecting the image, several markings will appear at the top of the screen that allow adding text, adding another image sticker, and editing the sharpness and brightness of the image.

The Stories and Reels also get some improvements: Instagram has added new fonts, effects and animations that can be added to the text to make it stand out. The update comes after a series of additional product improvements in the application: among other things, you can add songs to your profile, and share up to 20 slides in one Instagram post.
