Are Instagram's content recommendations bothering you? You're definitely not alone. After years of complaints, Meta, the owner of Instagram, has decided to meet users halfway and allow them to reset and start over with the content recommendations that pop up in their feed.

With just a few clicks, users will be able to clear all the content Instagram recommends to them in Reels, the feed, and Explore—and start fresh. This new tool will gradually roll out worldwide in the coming weeks, including in Israel.

To reset the content recommendations, go to account settings (Settings and Activity), and then click on Suggested Content. In the menu, select the option to Reset Suggested Content. Afterward, the recommendations will begin to be personalized again over time, and Instagram will show new recommendations based on content consumption and interactions on the platform.

During the reset process, users will be able to review all the accounts they follow and unfollow certain accounts.

This new tool joins other features Instagram offers for content adjustments, such as marking "Not Interested" through the three-dot menu next to a post, safety tools like Hidden Words that block content containing specific words or phrases, and tools like Close Friends and Favorites.

Recently, Instagram announced several updates to the app. Among other things, starting with the next update, the app will no longer refresh automatically upon opening but only after the user starts scrolling.

Additionally, the ability to reply to stories publicly has been added, allowing for more open and dynamic interaction between users. Moreover, live broadcasting capabilities have been upgraded, giving content creators new tools to improve the viewing and broadcasting experience. Sharing posts to stories has also become more convenient and intuitive, making it easier for users to share interesting content with their followers.
