Studies have shown that good sleep is essential for our proper functioning and can significantly impact our mood, which also reflects on our appearance. It doesn't matter if you've slept under a pique blanket and your skin has the texture of tiny squares—a well-designed bedroom, reminiscent of a luxury boutique hotel, can work wonders for your relationship. So, to prepare you for Valentine's Day, we’ve put together some recommendations.

The bedroom, unlike the public spaces in the home that represent all the residents, is the signature space for the couple. It’s the room where you can rest, recharge your energy, share intimate moments, and dream of a better tomorrow. The design of the room should reflect the couple's dreams, and just like a well-decorated living room, often for the benefit of guests, investing in the bedroom is akin to investing in your relationship.

Hila Harari, the in-house designer for OKNIN, explains: "The ideal bedroom is one designed in a modern and warm style. It should project a clean, minimalist look without distractions or background noise, transforming it into the perfect dream retreat. The bed is the most important element in this room, both visually and practically. It's the central and most prominent piece of furniture, so it's crucial to focus on its appearance in the space."

"In this room, the quality of materials, finishes, textiles, and the creation of a quiet, pleasant, and harmonious appearance are important, using soft and light colors. It’s essential to create a unique experience in this room to turn it from 'just another room' into an elegant, romantic space, akin to a boutique suite that exudes chic and style harmoniously. Everything should speak the same language, from the vanity table, the workspace that’s sometimes located in the master bedroom, the lighting fixtures that hang for each partner, the bathroom that’s part of the space, the bedding, pillows, and pictures—everything. Let's not forget that the bedroom also 'speaks' the design language of the entire house," says Harari.

"A touch of color, complementary accessories with a playful twist, and plenty of textiles will help 'tell your story' and make the room unique and interesting. A soft rug, plush chairs, and an abundance of pillows will add the necessary warmth and softness to the space," says Ella Shlomov, a textile expert from ELLA DÉCOR.

Shlomov further explains, "Make the bed with luxurious, light-colored bedding, use a bedspread and pillows in different textures. A padded headboard, or even just a hint of one, like a color or decorative plaster, will give a 'hug-like' feel and invite you to snuggle in bed."
