One chain pays more than all others during holidays

Geocartography Institute survey finds Rami Levi chain leads in offering the most affordable shopping basket during Israel's holiday rush.

A survey by the Geocartography Institute regarding the cheapest shopping basket for Rosh Hashanah states in first place: The Rami Levi chain with 31%, in second place the Osher Ad chain with 25%, in third place - the Yochananof and Hatzi Hinam chains with 6% In fourth place is the Shufersal chain with 5% and in fifth place is the King Store chain with 4%.

The survey states that regarding the basket of the cheapest fresh meat and poultry products (delicacies) for Rosh Hashanah: In first place - the Rami Levi chain - 25%, in second place - the Osher Ad chain with 17%, in third place is the Yochananof chain with 7%, In fourth place are the chains Shufersall and Hatzi Hinam with 6% and in fifth place is the chain King Store with 4%.

The survey also states that the cheapest basket of fresh fish products is: In first place the Rami Levi chain with 22%, in second place is the Osher Ad chain with 11%, in third place - the Yochananof and Hatzi Hinam chains with 8%, In fourth place is the Shufersal chain with 7% and in fifth place is the King Store chain with 4%.

The survey of the Geocartography Institute was conducted at the beginning of September in preparation for Rosh Hashanah in a representative sample of the population in the State of Israel (in the Jewish sector and the Arab sector).

The phenomenon that stands out is that in the Jewish sector 35% stated that the Rami Levi chain offers the cheapest basket compared to the Arab sector only 12.5% while the Shufersal chain in the Jewish sector only 2.6% compared to the Arab sector 16.2%.

The phenomenon that stands out is that in the Jewish sector 28.1% stated that the Rami Levi chain offers the basket of meat and chicken products at the most affordable prices compared to the Arab sector only 7.5% while the Shufersal chain in the Jewish sector only 3.8% compared to the Arab sector 20%.

The survey also states that the cheapest basket of fresh fish products is: In first place the Rami Levi chain with 22%, in second place the Osher Ad chain with 11%, in third place - the Yochananof and Hatzi Hinam chains with 8% and in The fourth is the Shufersal chain with 7% and in fifth place is the King Store chain with 4% and in sixth place is the Victory chain with 3% and 27% stated that they do not know.

The phenomenon that stands out is that in the Jewish sector 24.6% stated that the Rami Levi chain offers the basket of fresh fish products at the cheapest prices compared to the Arab sector only 10% while the Shufersal chain in the Jewish sector only 5.2% compared to the Arab sector 17.5%.

The Geocartography Institute's survey was conducted at the beginning of September 2024 in preparation for shopping for Rosh Hashanah and the holidays in a representative national sample of 503 men and women aged 18 and over in the Jewish and Arab sectors as part of the population.
