This is a lovely project in the marina in Herzliya, planned and designed by the interior designer Liad Yosef for a couple in their 60s, who live in the north of the country. It turns out that they had no intention of purchasing the apartment at all.

However, in light of the husband's frequent trips to the center for work purposes, and the frequent trips to the center to visit the children and grandchildren, they had no choice. The couple decided to be closer to family and work and spend 2-3 times a week in the vacation apartment in the marina.

"The concept," explains interior designer Liad Yosef, "was to create a pampering luxury yacht. One that doesn't feel like home. One that feels like freedom, a hotel, the sea, and a lot of FUN." According to Yosef, "To give the hotel-boutique feeling, the thinking is different. First, since this is a tiny apartment compared to their spacious house in the north, we must calculate and use very wisely every square meter, every function, with super functional and smart storage solutions. Second, we must give the Considering the proximity of the sea to the apartment, and its effects on the various materials."

The apartment is 60 meters long, and it is divided into three rooms. The design concept is ultra modern, one that comes from the world of boats and yachts, due to the proximity to the sea. The designer decided to go for very durable natural materials.

The colors chosen are monochromatic, starring wood and natural stone. In the couple's bedroom, the showers and toilets are an integral part of the suite, with no walls separating them. When the island creates a separation between the two functions. This, in order to maximize and gain a more spacious space. A wonderful way that also contributes to the feeling of freedom, which was so important for Liad Yosef to produce.

At the back of the bed is a blacked-out mirror with a showcase that faces the sea. In this way, the sea enters the room even when the couple has their backs to the sea. Also in the apartment, a work corner and a make-up corner, which were prepared in tiny dimensions, proportional to the size of the apartment. The kitchen is suitable for a vacation apartment, it is a kitchen for "tourists" not for cooking. As Yosef explains, "a kitchen of omelette and a lot of TAKE AWAY". Also in the space is a table that opens for 12 diners, and is used by the extended family that comes to visit.

In the public space, there is a dominant wood-clad wall, behind which are hidden doors that store a clothes dryer, folding chairs, cleaning products, a water heater, an electrical cabinet, and more.
