Although the Israeli summer is coming to an end, its effects on our skin and hair are still here. Whether you spent your free time on the beach in Tel Aviv, in a pool in a kibbutz or on a jeep trip in the south, it is likely that your body absorbed quite a bit of the rays of the scorching sun. So how do you deal with the damage and restore the glow to the face and hair? We have put together some tips that will help you.

We all love the Israeli summer - the sun, the sea, and the light atmosphere. But what is good for the soul, is not always good for our skin and hair. Paula Balik, expert in advanced cosmetics and natural and Chinese medicine, and Ilan Margalit, hair stylist and L'Oreal Professional ambassador in Israel, reveal to us the damages that summer leaves behind and how to deal with them in style.

Let's start with the face: Paula Balik explains that the tan we loved so much throughout the summer may leave behind more than just a golden hue. "Prolonged exposure to UV rays can cause dark spots, premature wrinkles, and even accelerated aging of the skin," she warns. The solution? Sunscreen is a must, even if the big vacation is already behind us. "Apply sunscreen with at least SPF 30, and don't forget to reapply every two hours," advises Blick.

But that's not all. The hot and humid summer can also make acne problems worse. "The heat and humidity cause increased sweating, which can clog the pores," explains Blick. She recommends the use of preparations containing salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide, and of course - thorough facial cleansing twice a day.

And what about those annoying spots that suddenly appeared on the face? "Pigmentation is one of the most common problems in the summer," says Blick. "Formulations with vitamin C or kojic acid can help brighten the skin and reduce blemishes."

Now for the hair: Ilan Margalit warns that the sun, the sea and the pool can leave our hair dry, brittle and lack luster. "UV rays change the color of the hair and damage its structure," he explains. "Also, the salt from the sea and the chlorine from the pool can cause extreme dryness."

So what do we do?

Margalit recommends an intensive care routine: "Use rich moisturizing masks once a week, and choose conditioners and masks that contain keratin and vitamins." He also emphasizes the importance of protection from the sun: "UV-protected oils, such as coconut or argan oil, can protect the hair from sun damage."

And don't forget - nurturing starts from the inside. "A proper diet, rich in vitamins and minerals, is critical for hair health," reminds Margalit. "Fish, nuts, vegetables and fruits are excellent sources of nutrition that supports healthy hair."
