With Hanukkah just around the corner, Roladin is gearing up to unveil its 2024 donut collection. This year, the launch will take place in a moving event at Sheba Medical Center’s rehabilitation facility, where wounded soldiers and their families will be the first to enjoy the new creations. Breaking from tradition, the event will also feature a special card game tournament called "Queen of the Donuts," developed in collaboration with Kodkod to celebrate the holiday.
Over the past months of conflict, the IDF Rehabilitation Division has cared for more than 12,000 injured soldiers and security personnel. For many, the journey to physical and emotional recovery involves long stays in hospital rehabilitation wards. Recognizing the importance of small joys during this challenging time, Roladin chose to launch its new collection at a venue symbolizing resilience and hope.
Today, Wednesday, a card game tournament will be held on the rehabilitation center’s lawns, where patients and their families—many affected by the ongoing Swords of Iron War—can participate in the festive activity. The "Queen of the Donuts" game, designed in partnership with Kodkod, will add a playful and lighthearted element to the day as the donut collection is officially introduced.
“We believe it is our responsibility to connect with our community, bringing even a small measure of happiness and light to those who need it most,” said Noa Bachar Aharoni, CEO of Roladin. “We’re honored to provide a brief respite for hospitalized soldiers and their families and to show our gratitude for their service.”
Roladin’s 2024 lineup includes 12 donuts, eight of which are brand-new. Highlights include:
- Malabi Rose: Red fruit coulis, red fruit cream, freeze-dried raspberry, coconut, pistachio, and rose malabi ganache.
- Sweet Sour: Mango-pineapple coulis, vanilla cream, freeze-dried mango, and coconut.
- Salted Caramel Popcorn (in collaboration with Werther’s Original): Salted toffee caramel, dulce popcorn ganache, caramelized popcorn, and vanilla sugar crust.
Prices range from NIS 8 for classic donuts to NIS 18 for the more elaborate, specialty varieties.
