Salah Dabbah offers cheapest fish & meat - Shiluv I2R study reveals

New Shiluv I2R study shows significant price gaps in fish and meat baskets for Tishrei holidays - Salah Dabbah chain offers cheapest option, saving consumers hundreds of shekels.

As the Israeli public begins to prepare for Rosh Hashanah, many are wondering where to buy the fish and meat for the holiday at a time of rising cost of living. A new study conducted by Shiluv I2R, one of the leading survey institutes in Israel, provides surprising answers and reveals significant price differences between chains Marketing. Surprisingly, it is not one of the major national marketing chains that offers the cheapest prices, but it is the supermarket chain Salah Dabbah, which led the table with a basket of meat and fish at a price of only NIS 398.7, a significant gap of about 31.5 percent of the price the market average. 

The research, which was conducted in the first week of September, included testing 8 different types of meat and fish in 7 different branches.

The types of meat tested are: fresh chicken broiler - whole, fresh chicken thighs - including shank, fresh chicken liver, fresh ground beef - front number 10, fresh veal entrecote and fresh shoulder roast number 5, among the types of fish selected: fresh salmon fillet and fish fillet Frozen salmon (unsliced) revealed alarming differences - the most expensive basket, found in the market warehouses, was 679.8 NIS - a gap of 281.1 NIS from the cheapest basket, while the average price of the meat and fish basket tested is 581.9 NIS. The research was conducted in the retail chains - Rami Levy Hashikma Marketing, Victory, Shufersal Deal, Yochananof, Stop Market, the Mck and as mentioned the cheapest chain Salah Dabbah.

Sigal Mentesh, Vice President of Research at Shiluv I2R: "The findings emphasize the importance of comparing the different marketing networks. Consumers can save significant amounts by choosing wisely where to shop, especially during the holiday season. Smart consumerism can save hundreds of shekels, beyond the place of purchase, comparing prices, special promotions for the holidays, and planning in advance can lead to significant savings, and leave more money in the wallet, certainly during such a difficult time."
