In the latest retail showdown, Samsung has made a creative and impactful move in response to Apple's first store opening in Malaysia, by rebranding a nearby subway station as "Samsung Galaxy."

The battle of the giants continues to break records: Apple opened its first store in Malaysia last month, but Samsung quickly responded in the most original (and invested) way possible.

To reach Apple’s new store in Kuala Lumpur, one needs to disembark at "Samsung Galaxy" station. Yes, you read that right. Samsung took the competition with Apple a step further, or more accurately, a step down - to the nearest subway station to the new Apple store.

Apple recently inaugurated its first store in Malaysia, located in Kuala Lumpur’s new business district. The store, designed as an impressive glass pyramid, has received praise for its unique architecture. But Samsung, Apple’s biggest competitor, was not to be outdone. Samsung acquired the naming rights for the nearby subway station and renamed it "Samsung Galaxy." They didn’t stop there, covering the entire station with advertisements for their products to ensure that anyone visiting the Apple store would encounter numerous reminders of Samsung along the way.

A content creator documented this move in a video that went viral on social media, amassing millions of views. In the video, the creator explains, "You won’t believe what Samsung did after Apple opened its first store in the country. At the metro station where Apple’s new store is located, Samsung responded by completely filling the station with its advertisements. I’ve never seen so many Samsung ads in one place." He added, "So if you want to visit the Apple store, you’ll disembark at Samsung Galaxy station and have to walk past all of Samsung’s ads first."

Since its release, the video has taken the internet by storm. It has garnered more than 92,000 likes and over 19 million views. As mentioned, the store features a unique architectural design in the form of a tiered white pyramid and will be the company's sixth store in Southeast Asia, following three stores in Singapore and two in Thailand.
