The 180-square-meter house is located in a quiet urban environment, spanning three floors. The couple, who have three young children, approached designer Orly Gonen to plan and design the renovation of their home to fit their needs. The renovation included planning new and large openings on the entrance floor in the kitchen and living room area to enhance the connection between the interior and the surrounding garden and trees. Additionally, Gonen expanded the kitchen area for spacious and pleasant hosting, redesigned the bathrooms, and relocated the entrance door.

Design-wise, the couple sought a Scandinavian look with warm industrial touches, featuring raw materials like concrete, metal, and wood, providing a soothing and calming feel.

In the basement and attic, the space was redivided to add a bathroom, bedroom, play area, storage room, and additional storage.

The house's floors are rectangular and long. The entrance floor contains the public areas, including the living room, dining area, and kitchen. Upon entering the house, one sees the living room with a direct view of the sofa, above which hangs a piece by artist Irit Hayun, and next to it a wall lamp by Israeli designer Chen Zalkind. The wall opposite the sofa contains the air conditioning and a recessed TV, with a large opening divided into squares with an aluminum profile, revealing the well-maintained garden and seating area.

To the left of the entrance door is a practical service cabinet hidden within the wall. The cabinet fronts are made of brown MDF slats coated with oak veneer, with push-to-open doors. Beyond the living room is the dining area, and in a vertical line behind it, the kitchen island and the two horizontal kitchen axes. The new openings were divided with aluminum profiles into rectangles.

Microtopping was chosen to coat the TV wall, giving it a formwork-like appearance that adds character and texture, creating the look of a cast concrete wall with wood panels imprinted during the formwork process.

The chosen color/material scheme includes black iron, warm gray, concrete-like, and oak wood. The color palette and materials feature rough Scandinavian characteristics with industrial touches.

All the bathrooms were renovated in a Scandinavian style with oak veneer sink cabinets and Viennese mesh, along with MODY products, including ceramics and sanitary items. One bathroom, located on the children's floor, is spacious with double sinks, a bathtub, a toilet, and a large laundry and folding area. The second bathroom is in the basement and includes a sink, shower, and toilet.
