SodaStream, the leading sparkling beverage brand, is launching a new campaign with the message "One SodaStream replaces over a thousand single-use bottles," aiming to highlight an accessible solution for reducing single-use plastic consumption.
As part of an innovative move, the company placed a single SodaStream device on the beverage shelves of one of the leading supermarket chains in Israel, replacing hundreds of bottled drinks. Next to the device, a sign was displayed explaining that one device replaces over a thousand single-use bottles, emphasizing the company's commitment to environmental responsibility and promoting a sustainable lifestyle.
Consumer research data from 2023 reveals that less than ten percent of plastic waste worldwide is recycled, underscoring the need to reduce the use of single-use plastic and transition to environmentally friendly solutions.
Shlomi Bechor, CEO of SodaStream Israel, explains: "At SodaStream, we have been committed for years to a sustainable industry and a better future for us and the planet. That’s why we chose this month, November, known as 'Shopping Month,' to emphasize the environmental message urging our consumers to make better choices for themselves and the environment. We encourage consumers to make smart, economical, and environmentally friendly purchases, products that will stay with them for years to come. As part of the campaign, we chose to amplify the message that one SodaStream device allows consumers to enjoy a variety of sparkling drinks in different flavors, simply and conveniently, without the need to leave the house or carry bottles."
