Because what is needed now besides a head jump?

It's so hot outside, often the thing we most want to do is take off our shirt and jump in the pool. True, in the past it was the property of the upper decile, and only a tiny percentage of the population incorporated it into their home, but over the years and the upheavals we've gone through (corona, the first turning point for sure), the pool has become popular and coveted by everyone. Its presence is relevant in every possible piece, whether it is an apartment or a house: on the roof, a small garden, and also on the balcony. "Over the years, the pool has become an important consideration in making decisions about the purchase of this or that property, when the subject of the pool has become desirable and important.

"The demand for pools in Israel is huge and unprecedented. The ratio between the number of home pools and the number of people in the country is only getting smaller. This popularity of the pool has brought with it many innovations in the wet field," explains Avner Zadok, CEO of Plagim, which specializes in the design and implementation of pools. As an example he gives Zadok designed an infinity pool in Rosh Ha'Ein (Galim-ganim that designed the garden), with a paradise garden reminiscent of a trip to an exotic country, which actually creates a kind of trip along green and flowery paths alongside magical seating areas. A lot of bamboo, a lush and green plant that serves as a background for the pool, is used. And the water slides down and creates a visual separation from the busy street beyond. Another pool that Zadok designed this time in Rehovot, they wanted to maximize the garden and build a pool in it. The family united and shared the outdoor area with the neighbors to get a bigger and more luxurious pool, which includes many other treats. .

Shai David, CEO of Carcom, which specializes in planning and designing gardens, explains: "The pool today is an integral part of the outdoors. A pool is a family anchor that brings generations and friends together. Customers contact me and want the pool, they understand that thanks to it they will have frequent visits from the children who have already grown out of the nest. A pool creates conversation, meetings, brings hearts closer. And if it's a pool, then it's impossible without an outdoor kitchen, magical lounging areas, lockers, deckchairs in the water, benches with chats in the pool, and the sky is the limit. The entire planning of the exterior changes when there is a pool." According to David, "In order to leverage and utilize the outdoor space, the hydraulic pool has become the most popular among Israelis. It's a pool with a hydraulic floor that rises when not in use, thus maximizing the available space."

David concludes: "In everything related to design, there is no one trend or another, customers already understand the importance of the outdoors. We no longer need to convince them. They understand that the outdoors makes the house bigger. The pool has considerable psychological value, it magnetizes people. It creates connections. Keep in mind that a pool requires preliminary planning, permits, etc."
