Creating a Home Away from Home: Architect Yonina Cohen transforms a house in Ra'anana for a family from America, blending classic and modern styles.

This is a house in Ra'anana that was renovated for a family, a couple plus 5 children, who immigrated from the USA, from a place of Zionism and love of the land. They turned to the architect Yonina Cohen, from the YTC Architects office, in order to adapt the house to their needs. The renovation began two months before the war, and as a result there were delays and delays. water, and at the same time, the architect managed to achieve the desired result. "The ambition was to give the children a feeling of home like they had in America. The parents wanted to give the children a sense of belonging, a home in a similar style - classic with modern touches," explains Cohen.

Much emphasis is given to the kitchen, it is large with plenty of storage space, two large refrigerators and a wide and comfortable island. The marble is placed on the surfaces, on the wall, and around the window, calm and delicate marble, unique yet luxurious. Three lighting fixtures from LIGHT IN were chosen above the island. The kitchen is open and bright white with light elements of wood, as an example of cladding on the lower part of the island and in the coffee corner.

Originally the kitchen was a closed space, the walls were taken down. This creates a bright and large kitchen that corresponds with the rest of the house. The living room with an H-shaped seating system. Also in the living room is a fireplace covered with marble, which corresponds with the marble in the kitchen. Nearby is an oval dining area that corresponds with the lowered oval ceiling made of wood and above it a chandelier purchased at LIGHT IN that resembles a golden jewel, and works in harmony with the lighting fixtures attached to the wall near the curtain. An open carpentry bar, with a sink for washing hands, in which leaf handles were integrated similar to the chandelier, LED strips in the carpentry and marble shelves.

On the second floor you reach the living rooms. A bright and pleasant master bedroom, the parents' bathroom is pampering with a free-standing bathtub, a spacious shower and a bathroom covered with marble flooring. Behind the sink, the architect planned a covering in the shape of a marble fishbowl. More in the master closet. In the boys' bathroom, a concrete-like tile and a wooden cabinet, a gray hanging body was chosen that adds to the luxurious look of the bathroom. The two girls' rooms had one toilet that was split in two with a separate entrance to each of them. In the daughter's room, a long carpentry closet was planned up to the wall with a "dummy" door for the bathroom.

In the guest bathroom, including a travertine sink - a suspended gold body that matches the design.
