Have you tried to send a picture on WhatsApp and were tormented by an endless search in the different albums? Now it will be easier: the popular messaging app has released a new update that changes the photo selection screen so that the task becomes easier.

As of today, in order to send a photo on WhatsApp, the user is required to follow several steps: after clicking on the "plus" sign at the bottom of the screen, it is necessary to select the required category - in this case "photo", after which start a search for the appropriate album followed by the appropriate photo.

Now the operation becomes much simpler: WhatsApp has changed the selection screen so that it allows you to see the last albums that were used on the screen first, so that you can get to the latest photos faster. The default can be changed so that other album labels appear on the screen, according to the user's choice.

The new update has already been released to a beta version for developers, under the name Album Picker and is expected to reach all users in the coming weeks. It should be noted that a similar function has existed for a long time in the competing Telegram application.

WhatsApp is planning some more improvements as part of the war against competing apps - Telegram, and Apple's messaging app which has been upgraded and allows the delivery of graphic and animated messages to Android users as well. The significant update that is expected in the company is the possibility to use WhatsApp also through iPads, a function that WhatsApp has been delaying with its development for several months.
