LG Electronics (LG) will unveil its new washing machine at IFA 2024. This latest model boasts the company’s advanced Intelligence Direct Drive™ (AI DD™) 2.0 technology, offering efficient washing performance with a larger capacity, specifically designed for pet owners.
Building on the company’s advanced low-vibration technology, LG introduces its first 25-inch washing machine, providing the convenience of handling larger laundry loads with an increased drum capacity of up to 16 kilograms. In addition to the enhanced capacity, the new washing machine integrates advanced AI technology, further improving its performance.
At the heart of the new washing machine’s performance is the AI DD 2.0, which utilizes deep learning technology to automatically detect the load weight, fabric softness, and dirt level of the clothes. The machine then uses 6Motion™ technology to select the optimal washing pattern, reducing fabric damage by 10% and helping clothes last longer. Furthermore, pet owners can benefit from the Pet Care cycle program, which offers high-temperature washing of up to 60°C and four warm water rinse cycles, effectively removing 99% of pet odors.
LG’s new washing machine enhances the laundry experience with improved performance technology and convenient features. Thanks to TurboWash™ 360 technology, washing cycles can be shortened to just 39 minutes, while ezDispense™ technology simplifies the process by determining the necessary amount of detergent for each load. The machine offers a total of up to 39 washing cycles and automatically remembers the most frequently used cycles and features to minimize the time spent selecting settings. Users can also access the cycle list editing option to customize their preferences based on habits.
The machine is powered by LG’s renowned Inverter DirectDrive™ motor, a core component technology of the company that delivers quiet performance and enhanced durability.
"We are excited to introduce our new washing machine and showcase how the company’s technologies simplify the laundry process with increased capacity and personalized features," said Lyu Jae-Cheol, President of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company. "We will continue to present advanced AI-based home solutions that cater to diverse spaces and lifestyles, offering enhanced benefits to make everyday life more convenient for everyone."
Visitors to IFA 2024 can experience all of LG’s latest innovations, including the new washing machine, at the company’s booth (Hall 18, Messe Berlin) from September 6 to 10.
