Yitzhak Meiri, An Israeli citizen who was a known criminal, was shot dead in the north of Holland on Wednesday, according to Ynet.
Meiri was sentenced to six and a half years in prison in 2008 for extortion.
According to the report, the Dutch police thwarted multiple assassination attempts on Meiri and even arrested two Turkish drug dealers for trying to kill him.
The shooter was not caught, but Dutch police released information about him in an attempt to lead to his capture.
