Former IDF Brig.-Gen. and current head of the Special Measures Division in the Defense Ministry Moshe Edri will become the new Israel Atomic Energy Commission (IAEC) director-general, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett announced on Wednesday.
Edri is the "right man at the right time," Bennett said. "His impressive performances, in-depth understanding and willingness to take on any task at the national level left were clear to see during my time as Defense Minister."
"He will undoubtedly meet the challenging tasks created by the reality around us in the Middle East."
Edri will replace Ze'ev Snir, head of the IAEC since 2015, in July 2022.
