The Chief of Staff of Cyprus, Lt.-Gen. Democritus Zervakis, began his first visit to Israel Monday, as a guest of IDF Lt.-Gen. Aviv Kohavi.
Zervakis was received this morning at the Kirya military headquarters in Tel Aviv with a celebratory honor guard, where they discussed security challenges shared by the two countries in the Middle East and opportunities for expanding cooperation between the armies.
During the visit, the general is expected to tour the Lebanese border and visit an Iron Dome battery.
