Former Israeli soccer player Alon Hazan was appointed on Tuesday as the Israeli national team's head coach.
Hazan, who coached the Israeli U21 side, was unanimously picked as the new coach by a search committee headed by Yossi Benayoun, Israel's most successful player and current general manager of the national team.
