Border Police Staff-Sargeant Ronen Marzuk, 20, died early this morning in a car crash on Highway 70.
According to the Israel Police Spokesperson's Unit, Marzuk was described by his commanders and friends as a brave and humble soldier who was well-liked by all.
Marzuk personally contributed to the success of operations he was involved in, it added, and was described as having a strong motivation to succeed.
Commander of the Border Police Assistant-Chief Amir Cohen said that a month ago, Marzuk stopped a suspicious vehicle from which weapons were seized after a chase, dislocating his shoulder in the process.
The late resident of Abu Sinan leaves behind his parents and two younger sisters.
