The IDF is planning to build a wall around the town of Metula along Israel's northern border, KAN news reported on Sunday evening.
The plan was revealed during a meeting between Amir Baram, the commander of IDF Northern Command, and local residents. The residents were reportedly opposed to the plan, arguing that a wall would hide the landscape around the town, harm the character of the town and impact tourism.
Baram responded that he is "responsible for life, before the quality of life."
