A fight between two families turned into a shooting in the southern-Israel Bedouin city of Rahat on Thursday night, according to police reports.
Seven people were injured and one was killed by gunfire in a fight in neighborhood 26 in the city.
The MDA team that was called to the scene gave them medical treatment and evacuated seven of them to the Soroka-University Medical Center in Beersheba, suffering from penetrating injuries.
A young man in his 20s was pronounced dead. According to the Abraham Initiatives, a peace-building organization that tracks crime rates in the Arab-Israeli community, this man marks the 65th Arab crime-related murder so far in this calendar year.
What happened?
A preliminary investigation shows that the background to the case is a conflict between two families. Police arrested the two suspects, a 30-year-old Rahat resident and a 26-year-old.
