The European Union's critical infrastructure is under threat and the EU is working with NATO on a stress test programme to prepare for a 'worst case' outcome, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on Monday.
Speaking at a government leaders summit about offshore wind energy in the North Sea, von der Leyen said that the EU and NATO have launched a joint task force to investigate possible threats to key sectors including energy.
Results of the study will be presented at an EU leaders meeting in July, she added.
