An increased amount of Russian infantry fighting vehicles were produced in 2023's first quarter, Russian state defense corporation Rostec said on Thursday .
"The company delivered the same amount of infantry fighting vehicles as in the whole of 2019," Rostec said in the announcement of a new shipment of BMP-3 armored vehicles by its Kurganmashzavod subsidiary.
The production volume of Kurganmashzavod's Volgorad facility had doubled, said Rostec. It said that last year more than 1,000 people had been hired, and more than 1,200 had already been hired in 2023.
