The United States is looking forward to seeing Turkey and Hungary ratify Sweden's NATO accession bid before a key summit of the alliance in July in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius, the State Department's acting top diplomat for Europe said on Friday.
"Clearly this will be an ongoing part of our discussions, our engagement with the new Turkish government," Acting Assistant Secretary for European Affairs Dereck Hogan said in a briefing call, referring to Turkey's presidential elections due to be held on Sunday.
