Wildfire breaks out in Ashkelon open field, firefighting forces on hand

Israel Fire and Rescue Services firefighters are at the scene of a large wildfire that broke out in an open field near Ashkelon and Highway 4, the service said.

Firefighting aircraft were rushed to the scene as firefighters attempted to gain control of the fire, which threatens to reach nearby towns.
