A 27-year-old resident of Umm al-Fahm in northern Israel was arrested for trying to smuggle weapons across the Israeli West Bank barrier on Friday, according to an Israel Police spokesperson.
Police arrested him after briefly chasing him once he was spotted with a sack in his hand. Inside the sack was a 16-gauge rifle and a wrapped pistol.
The suspect was taken in for further questioning.
