Israeli academic freedom will be maintained in higher education institutes, Education Minister Yoav Kisch and Innovation, Science and Technology Minister Ofir Akunis pledged in a joint statement on Wednesday.
Their goal, according to the statement, was to maintain freedom of expression for all students. The statement also urged that institutions of higher education should not be used for political gain.
