Bathing at Zikim Beach south of Ashkelon has been banned until further notice, following the collapse of a sewage plant in the Gaza Strip.
Bathing is prohibited for fear of sewage flowing into the seawater.
Similar events also occurred last year, when the beach was closed following 130,000 cubic meters of sewage was discharged from Gaza.
