The US has reached a "quiet understanding" with Qatar not to release the $6 billion in Iranian oil profits due to Iran's reported involvement in Hamas's assault on Israel on Saturday, CBS News reported on Thursday.
The funds in question were transferred from South Korea to Qatar as part of a prisoner swap between Iran and the US in September.
