After a pursuit, a terrorist who fired at an IDF unit earlier today near the community of Margaliot in Israel's north has been located and eliminated, the IDF spokesperson said on Friday evening.
Previously, the terrorist fired at a reserve unit operating in the area before fleeing the scene.
The IDF immediately launched a pursuit of the shooter and blocked possible escape routes.
After several hours, the IDF managed to eliminate the terrorist, who was found carrying a rifle.
During the initial shooting, an IDF reserve soldier was seriously wounded.
The soldier has been evacuated for medical treatment at the hospital, and his family has been notified.
