US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with foreign ministers from the Middle East in New York City on Tuesday.
Blinken met with ministers from Algeria, Jordan, Libya, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
Blinken "condemned Hamas for its abhorrent terrorist attacks, reinforced Israel’s right to self-defense, and discussed ongoing efforts to secure the release of hostages, prevent the conflict from spreading, and deliver humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza," State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said.
