The US-led coalition in Iraq struck five militants who were preparing to launch a suicide drone near Kirkuk on Sunday, US Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Monday.
All five militants were killed and the drone was destroyed, according to CENTCOM.
"Iraqi Security Forces were notified of the strike and responded to the location, where they confirmed the death of the militants and the destruction of the drone. The United States will continue to defend US and coalition personnel from attacks," said CENTCOM.
